Beijing Historical 2-Day Private Tour PackageDay 1: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Mutianyu Great Wall

Your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 08:30am. This morning, you will start your Beijing journey with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world and the very heart of the capital. After that, you will walk into the magnificent Forbidden City (Palace Museum), the largest imperial palace complex on earth, where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties once lived and ruled China for centuries. After lunch, you will drive out of the city to the beautiful Mutianyu Great Wall. On the way, you will have a short optional stop at a jade workshop, a nice chance to take a break and learn a little about traditional Chinese jade craftsmanship. Once arriving at Mutianyu, you will enjoy about 2 hours of sightseeing on this scenic and less-crowded section of the Great Wall, famous for its lush surroundings and breathtaking mountain views. After the Great Wall visit, you will return to downtown Beijing, with a brief exterior photo stop at the Olympic Park to see the iconic Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside, before being transferred back to your hotel.

Day 2: Old Beijing Hutong, Beihai Park, Shichahai, Temple of Heaven

Your guide will meet you again at your hotel at 08:30am. Today is a more relaxing day, allowing you to experience the charm of traditional Beijing. You will begin with a visit to the famous Old Hutong alleys, including a fun rickshaw ride through the historic neighborhoods where local life has continued for generations. After that, you will explore Beihai Park and the lovely Shichahai area, known for peaceful lakes, old courtyards, and beautiful scenery right in the heart of the city. After enjoying a traditional Chinese lunch, you will have a short stop at a silk workshop, where you can rest for a moment and learn about another well-known Chinese craft. Later in the afternoon, you will continue to the impressive Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest ancient imperial worship complex in China. This was the sacred place where emperors prayed for good harvests and harmony. At the end of the tour, your driver will take you comfortably back to your hotel.
